"I arrived on a vessel with around 80 individuals aboard," said one person whose ticket was scrapped. "A group of ten of us were taken into custody, while the other 70 were accommodated to have their claims assessed here. That isn't fair. I was relieved when our tickets were called off, but the officers would not tell us a reason. When I inquired, they responded, 'we can't tell you why.'"

According to sources involved in such operations, the typical expense for a one removal flight is around £250,000.

Earlier data released for 2022 indicated the mean expense was about £180,000, with prices fluctuating based on the plane model, route, and other factors.
