Details of the Grave Charges The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous sexual offences – including acts against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 to 2021. A deputy chief prosecutor said, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.” The Investigation These allegations follow what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital. The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January. Breakdown of Charges Prosecutors said the 45 charges he is charged with: Fifteen counts of sexual assault. Seventeen counts of penetrative assault. 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen. Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration. One count of attempted penetrative assault.
